Classic Hummus

Light Bites

Ingredients

  • 1 can chickpeas (rinsed) 

  • 1 small garlic clove, peeled and crushed

  • 3 tbsp tahini

  • 1 lemon juiced (or more to taste) 

  • and ½ zested

  • 1-2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil

  • 60-90ml water (add more if needed) 

  • ½ tsp salt


Preparation

Blitz everything in a food processor

Notes

Hummus is super versatile and can be adapted to taste by playing around with the ingredients and liquid quantities. If you prefer a smoother texture, try swapping the chickpeas for white beans or using a combination of both. And if you're looking to add some extra flavour, why not try adding fresh herbs or 2 tsp of cumin, sweet smoked paprika, or a pinch of chilli flakes to your mix? Trust me, it's delicious!
